- It is a year for trying new things. The last Family Hayride event at the 4-H Camp hosted 374 participants. That is a lot of people, children & adults, coming in and out of the camp’s hall. So, this year we are spreading things out. The same fun components of games, crafts, hot dogs, marshmallows, and hay will all be there. The families will get to tour the Island to find them and win a chance at the Grand Prize.
- A map with all the stops marked will be given to each family. Families will pick up the map in Downtown Memorial Park any time after 12:00 noon on October 16. They will then travel all over the Island picking places on their maps to stop and be treated. A treat can be a game; a craft; or a bonfire with marshmallows. Some of the stops will have clues which will take the families to their final destination and a chance to win the Grand Prize. There is no charge for this event, but free will donations are gratefully accepted.
- KILA needs volunteers to offer their Hallo Island yard and host one of the stops. We have some carnival games and supplies to help you but you decide how you would like to have fun hosting one of the stops that day. This is a completely outdoor event. Please contact info@kila.rocks to volunteer.
